Education Programs

Education is perhaps one of the most important ingredients to a happy, successful, and constructive life. As we look at the barriers to prosperity, lack of education is definitely near the top of the list. Continuing education is foundational at every stage of life. Each Link literacy program, from Kindergarten Readiness Camps to Adult Literacy and ESL, provides learning opportunities that will bring about success in the classroom and ultimately in life.

Does your pre-schooler need a boost to prepare for kindergarten? Check out Kindergarten Readiness Camps. Does your school-age child need tutoring in a specific subject area? We may be able to match them with an after school tutor. As an adult, are you in need of reading skills or do you struggle with English language skills? We can provide you with an Adult Literacy coach or an ESL class. Literacy at The Link exists to break down your educational barriers to success!

Financial Programs

Wise financial management is not just a good idea, it is absolutely necessary to thrive in today’s economy.  According to a survey done by Charles-Schwab in 2019 59% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck, 44% usually carry a credit card balance or struggle to keep up with bills/payments, spend an average of $483 on non-essentials each month and only 38% have built up an emergency fund.  Let us walk beside you as you look at your spending habits, consider your needs and wants, and build a budget that allows you to live a little more freely and breathe a little more easily.

Neighborhood Resources.

We have a wealth of resources in our community who seek to assist our neighbors in their journey to wholeness. On the 2nd Wednesday of each month many community organizations and community resource representatives join together at The Link Community Meeting to discuss ways that we can better serve our community. We best serve our neighbors when we join together.

The program includes curriculum specifically designed for adults seeking to raise self-awareness, strengthen relationships, increase parenting skills, and more efficiently managed anger. Neighbors connect with instructional leaders, peers, and the course materials as they peel back layers of thinking and identify core issues.

Re-Entry Services.

Within our community, we have families partaking in generational cycles of substance abuse, unaddressed mental illness, poverty and the subsequent involvement within the criminal justice system. We strongly believe that we are delivering an innovative program that will have life altering results for individuals, family systems, and our community as a whole.
