Wise Up

Research shows that if you can teach a teenage how to manage their money, you will not only help them develop healthy life patterns, but you can also influence the course of future generations.

Wise Up Money Skills for Teens teaches ninth and twelfth grade students in the Fall and Spring semesters how to make wise financial decisions.

The Freshmen curriculum covers minimum wage, cost of living, delayed vs. instant gratification, banking, and interest. Seniors additionally learn about debt, credit cards, purchasing options, paying for their education, and investing.

Students, parents, and educators have praised the in-depth information that is introduced during the semester-long class.

We are thankful for our 2021-2022 sponsor, Alabama Farm Credit, and their commitment to sharing financial literacy information with the students in our area.
